SDSU Police and FBI Questioning Individual in Connection with Threat to Campus
SAN DIEGO (Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 10:15 a.m.) - San Diego State Police and the FBI are questioning an individual in connection with a threat made that San Diego State may be targeted for violent acts similar to what occurred at Virginia Tech on Monday. The threat was for Thursday, April 19. Investigation conducted to date by SDSU Police and the FBI indicates that the threat was a hoax. SDSU Police and the FBI were alerted to the threat overnight. SDSU is in the process of informing students, faculty and staff. Classes and other campus activities will continue today as scheduled. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to be more aware of their surroundings and contact the SDSU Police immediately at (619) 594-1991 if they see anything suspicious.
