Facts at a Glance
9,280 new undergraduate students enrolled for the Fall 2007 semester, including:
- 5,480 first time freshmen students
- 3,400 new undergraduate
transfer students
SDSU received more than 58,000 applications for the Fall 2007 school year
First time freshmen have an incoming GPA of 3.45 and an incoming SAT score of 1055.
44.5% of incoming freshmen are from historically underrepresented minority groups.

- Founded in 1897, SDSU is the oldest and largest institution in San Diego. 2007 is SDSU's 111th academic year.
- SDSU was recently named the top small research university in the nation.
- SDSU has more than 34,000 students (including students at the Imperial Valley Campus).

- The most popular majors continue to be business administration, psychology and liberal studies. (Based on fall 2006 census)
