SDSU Open House

San Diego State University President Stephen L. Weber and Associated Student President Celinda Vasquez will welcome parents and prospective students to "Access to Excellence, the 5th Annual SDSU Open House on Saturday, March 13, beginning at 8 a.m.

"Parents and students will have an opportunity to sample the university environment, meet our faculty, interact with current students, and to share the excitement our campus has to offer, said Carole Robasciotti, assistant dean for student affairs in the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts.

The open house will include workshops of financial aid, freshman success programs, campus safety, student housing, academic colleges and departments, and NCAA guidelines for prospective athletes. Parents and students can tour the campus, library, athletic and recreation facilities. An information fair featuring many student organizations will be held throughout the campus.

"Only at Open House do students have the opportunity to explore all the different pieces of their college education at SDSU with professors, college administrators, student organizations, athletics, and may more, said Michelle Lucente, a senior and Student Ambassador at SDSU. "Visiting our campus during Open House lets students and their families feel the spirit of the SDSU community and see the endless opportunities waiting for them.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parking is free and visitors are advised to dress casually and wear walking shoes.
