Thousands to Explore ‘Quality through Diversity’at SDSU Open House, February 21
WHAT: Several thousand parents and students from throughout California will be attending San Diego State University’s 4th Annual Open House to learn everything they need to know about college life. Last year’s event attracted 8,000 people.
WHEN: 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 21
Dr. Stephen L. Weber, SDSU president, and Carlos Razo, president of SDSU Associated Students, will welcome guests at opening ceremonies at 8 a.m. in Cox Arena.
WHERE: Opening ceremonies at Cox arena; workshops and information booths throughout the campus.
DETAILS: Following the theme, "Quality through Diversity," the day-long event will include workshops on financial aid, freshmen success programs, campus safety, housing, and more. Parents and students will have an opportunity to sample the University environment, meet the faculty, interact with current students, and share the excitement of the campus. Also offered will be tours of the campus, including the library, athletic facilities, and new recreation center.

Attendees will include Granite Hills senior Jennifer Conrad who has not allowed cerebral palsy to slow her down. Jennifer, who has a 3.1 grade point average, expects to be an SDSU freshman next year. She will be available for interviews at the Open House.
