CALENDAR: San Diego State Art Lecture Series to Feature Alumna Andrea Zittel

 

WHAT: The Visiting Artists and Lecturers Program of SDSU’s School of Art,

Design and Art History presents a slide-lecture by SDSU alumna Andrea

Zittel. She will discuss artworks created throughout her career, including

her most recent projects which will be exhibited at the University Art

Gallery from April 13 to May 13. These include an artist-designed

multimedia presentation, two artist-designed travel trailers and a special

artist-designed publication. A reception for the artist will follow.

Zittel’s University Art Gallery exhibition, titled "A-Z for You • A-Z for

Me," is sponsored by the SDSU Art Council.

 

WHEN/WHERE:

· Lecture: 5 p.m., Saturday, April 18, in room 412 of the Art Building

 

· Reception: 6 to 8 p.m. at the University Art Gallery.

 

COST: Lecture and reception are free and open to the public

 

PARKING: Parking is available without permits in special permit areas 160,

105, 400 which are located near the Art Building.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: She was born in Escondido and attended San Diego State

University, completing an undergraduate degree in art in 1988. She then

earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design

in 1990.
