8,600 Students To Participate in Commencement at SDSU
Ceremonies will take place May 24, 26 & 27SAN DIEGO, Friday, May 18, 2001- San Diego State University will graduate approximately 8,600 students (this figure is adjusted for double majors), on May 24, May 26 and May 27, 2001, including 6,691 bachelor's degree candidates, 1,912 master's degree candidates, 27 doctoral candidates. This year, all of the commencement ceremonies, except Imperial Valley campus, will be held in Cox Arena.
The ceremony schedule is as follows:

* New Masters Program Serves Biotech Industry: SDSU will confer master's degrees to the first class of eight students in the new Regulatory Affairs Program. The master of science in regulatory affairs - one of only three such programs in the nation and the only program west of Philadelphia - answers a need created by the FDA's expanding authority over testing, product development, manufacturing and commercialization within the biomedical industries.
