San Diego Executives Graduate from Executive MBA Program

San Diego (August 20, 1999) As the new school year just begins for most students, a group of 33 San Diego executives will don their black graduation gowns on Sept. 12 and graduate from San Diego State University's Executive MBA program.
The graduating class includes CEOs, vice presidents and executive directors of companies and organizations such as San Diego Hospice, HNC Software and Foodmaker Inc. Ed Brekke, West Coast manufacturing director for Square D Company, is the class valedictorian and will give the commencement address.

Students in the Executive MBA program attend classes twice monthly on Fridays and Saturdays for 24 months while maintaining demanding positions as leaders in an array of local organizations. Students are mid-career executives and senior managers who have an average of 15 years of professional work experience and eight years of managerial experience.

The Executive MBA program at SDSU is the only AACSB-accredited program of its kind to be offered in the San Diego area and is one of about 150 in the country. For information about the program, call (619) 594-6010.

The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University is a nationally recognized business college, offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs that reflect the entrepreneurial and international character of the San Diego region. It conducts the fifth largest undergraduate business program in the United States accredited by AACSB. U.S. News selected the college as one of the top 34 business schools for entrepreneurship; and for three consecutive years, Success magazine named the College of Business as one of the "25 Best Business Schools for Entrepreneurs in America."
