Youth Aggression and Violence: Topic of Seminar at SDSU

 

WHAT: Dr. Arnold P. Goldstein, a nationally known researcher and expert on youth aggression, will conduct a workshop on "Teaching Youth Prosocial Skills". Representatives from local schools, law enforcement agencies and community-based organizations, along with faculty and students from San Diego State University, will attend the two-day seminar. The workshop will focus on student aggression, assaultive and delinquent students and juvenile gang involvement.

 

WHEN: 9:00 a.m., Monday and Tuesday, November 16 and 17. (A COMPLETE SCHEDULE IS ATTACHED)

 

WHERE: Foundation Gateway Center, Room 2509, on the SDSU Campus.

 

BACKGROUND: Dr. Goldstein is a Clinical Psychologist, Professor of Special Education and Director of the Center on Research and Aggression at Syracuse University in New York. Much of Dr. Goldstein’s research and teaching has centered on helping youngsters replace anti-social, aggressive behaviors with constructive, alternative means of seeking life satisfaction and effectiveness.
