San Diego State University Offers Free Stop-Smoking Program

If your New Year’s resolutions include a commitment to quit smoking, San Diego State University has an offer you can’t refuse.

The SDSU Psychology Clinic is offering San Diegans a free stop-smoking program. Smokers will participate in 10-week research program which is expected to begin in mid-January. Participants will meet for an hour, one night a week at an office near the campus. In addition to smoking secession treatment, smokers will also receive a free device to reduce inhaled tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide.

The Psychology Clinic is operated jointly by the Department of Psychology at SDSU and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California at San Diego.
