Journal explores relation between pain and art
"Fiction International," called by Alberto Moravia "The best and bravest journal I know," continues its exploration of the cultural cutting edge with publication of "Pain, #2."
Edited by Harol Jaffe, professor of English at San Diego State University and published by the SDSU Press, it presents a multi-faceted investigation into pain and art.
The latest issue features the manifesto and art work of the performance body-artist Orlan, along with fiction and visuals by Eurydice, Ursule Molinaro, Toby Olson, and Andi and Lance Olsen.
"Pain, #2" also features an interview with science-fiction writer Samuel R. Delany about the repressed publication of his novel "Hogg," and fiction and visuals by Shinji and Yumi Yamazaki, Lidia Y., Janice Eidus, and W.D. Ehrhart.
