SDSU Students To Lend a Hand with Community Holiday Celebration
WHAT: With final exams fast approaching, most San Diego State students are hitting books. However, a large number will be taking a break this Saturday to give to the community.
SDSU students will be joining College Area residents and merchants to put on a community holiday celebration Saturday. Students are pitching in to provide security, parking and litter control; distribute flyers door-to-door; lead carols; assist local charities; and serve as m.c.’s for the community festivities. The list of SDSU fraternity, sorority and campus organizations who are volunteering services is growing daily.
WHEN: 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, December 13
WHERE: The event, sponsored by the College Area Business Improvement District, will take place on Montezuma Road between El Cajon Boulevard and Reservoir Drive.
COST: Most activities are free and include pony and hay wagon rides, theatre productions, caroling, walk-around characters, Santa, and a variety of other activities provided by community groups.
