SDSU Opening day enrollment shows continuing increase
Opening day enrollment for San Diego State University’s fall 1997 semester is 28,708 students, according to Carolyn Marland, director of Admissions and Records. This reflects an increase of 492 students over opening day enrollment for fall ‘96, which was 28,216.
The total enrollment figure for opening day is composed of 23,828 undergraduates and 4,880 graduate students.
Final enrollment figures will be determined and released on the official census day, September 29, 1997. This is the end of the period during which students may drop and add classes to adjust their schedules. Enrollment is expected to increase between opening day and census.
