| Due to the additional faculty supported by SDSU's Nurses Now partnership, enrollment in the nursing program has increased by 70%. |
- The School of Nursing produces a majority of the region’s nurses with bachelors degrees, and our 2005 graduating class achieved the highest passing rate in the CSU system for first-time test-takers of the Registered Nurses exam.

The School of Nursing boasts the largest Human Patient Simulator Center (HPSC) on the west coast. The HPSC is composed of computerized mannequins that simulate up to 90 difference human medical scenarios.

The Graduate School of Public Health is on e of only four nationally accredited schools of public health in California.

Since its inception in 2002, our college’s Consensus Organizing Center’s Step Up program has provided over 100 high school students, from underrepresented areas of the country, with the encouragement and guidance necessary to achieve their dream of attending college.
- Our faculty have been awarded nearly half a billion dollars in grants and contracts for research and service activities since 1980, about $35 million in 2005 alone.
- Our faculty publish over 200 academic and professional articles and books each year.
- Our graduates serve communities locally and nationwide in such critical fields as gerontology, public health, nursing, social work, and speech, language, and hearing sciences; many graduates attend the CHHS for graduate and professional education.
