Weber's tenure, SDSU has raised a record $357 million in private giving, enabling the funding of critical campus programs and services. What's more, we're in the pre-planning stage for a comprehensive campaign, while also in the midst of other notable programmatic campaigns.

Assistant Director for the President's Leadership Fund
The Assistant Director for the President's Leadership Fund (PLF) manages the daily activities of the PLF, participates in Annual Program strategy implementation and reports to the Executive Director, SDSU Fund. Daily responsibilities include representing the president and SDSU and ensures the PLF meets its core mission through accountability, transparency and quality stewardship of members. Articulates the case for unrestricted giving internally and externally. Identify, evaluate, cultivate, solicit and steward leadership prospects and donors. Manage a portfolio of leadership donors and prospects with emphasis on donor acquisition and upgrades. Minimum of 70% of time will be focused on front-line, donor centered activities. Meet or exceed established quarterly donor meeting and fund-raising goals. Oversee partner renewal process to ensure its accurate, timely and strategic completion. Manage the administration of member benefits. Provide leadership donors with customized, frequent, meaningful communication and involvement. Implement a comprehensive volunteer network including peer screening, volunteer recognition, motivation and training. Ensures all development activities are conducted in accordance to the fundraising policies and procedures of CSU, SDSU, The Campanile Foundation, and University Development.
Plan, direct, and manage the daily activities of the PLF and the young alumni leadership giving component of the program. In concert with administrative and volunteer leadership, identify and establish strategic initiatives, goals, and objectives for the PLF, both short and long term. Work closely with the Executive Director, SDSU Fund and volunteer leadership in creating and implementing a comprehensive development plan for the PLF. Work in cooperation with central and de-central development staff on current and prospective PLF donors to identify and implement individualized plans for upgrading donors within the PLF or to college/unit-based campaigns. Work with all facets of campus faculty and staff in delivering university 'concierge' style service to donors. Work with Executive Director, SDSU Fund and The Campanile Foundation Chief Financial Officer on the request-for-fund process to ensure accountability and tracking of requests. Work with the central development communications/stewardship team to ensure PLF web, collateral and outreach vehicles are timely and consistent with overall development messaging. Work with central events team to assist in coordinating, conceptualizing, planning, and implementing all PLF events. Prepare written reports and oral presentations as needed. Participate in development and annual programs team meetings as appropriate. Contribute to overall annual programs strategy and planning.
Manage one Administrative Support Coordinator in coordinating all aspects of the daily operations of The PLF including special events, mailings and donor stewardship. Special projects as assigned.
Major Gifts Coordinator, Annual Programs
The incumbent will assist with organizing, coordinating and disseminating communications to various internal and external contacts. Answer and screen all incoming telephone calls. Greet and assist visitors, act as a source of information for internal and external constituents, and coordinate phone, mail and electronic responses to inquiries. Manage prospects for the Assistant Vice President as needed, and maintain tracking systems to assist with cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors. Track pledge agreements, prepare invoices and proposals and organize collateral materials. Oversee administrative operations of the Annual Programs/Advancement Services unit. Maintain a complex system of filing. Coordinate travel arrangements for the Assistant Vice President. Record and transcribe minutes for committee meetings as needed. Create, maintain and search various databases with the ability to manipulate the records to produce lists, mailing labels, and merged letters. Prepare donor and prospects lists utilizing BSR and criteria established by team members. Utilize web and other tools for preliminary research of prospects. Provide donor/alumni record updates to Gift Administration and Reporting regarding gift information, address changes, donor status updates, contact reports, and proposal submissions. Empowered to make decisions to troubleshoot the team's administrative issues and implement solutions. Assist in management of the AVP's calendar, including securing and confirming personal visit appointments, travel arrangements and directions. Coordinates planning for special events, including consulting with directors and outside vendors to establish goals, services required, and payment schedules. Responsible for orientation and day-to-day supervision of student workers, as well as hiring and termination. Special projects as assigned.
