The Ambassadors for Higher Education play a leading role in promoting higher education issues on behalf of the California State University system (CSU), and specifically, San Diego State University.

2004 Annual Achievement Award in Public Service The Honorable Leon Williams, Ted Roth, and Duane Roth received the SDSU Ambassadors for Higher Education's Annual Achievement Award in Public Service on Nov. 20, 2004.

The ambassadors:

• bring together individuals and organizations who wish to know more about the important work and contributions of higher education, the CSU and SDSU


• promote actions and the discussion of issues vital to the future of higher education


• communicate to opinion leaders, decision makers, and the public how the university and the CSU are preparing for the challenges of the 21st century and about matters central to higher education, the CSU and SDSU


• participate in media and public service campaigns to promote support for SDSU, higher education and the CSU and its programs


• introduce friends and colleagues to the Ambassadors.
